Welp here's a screenshot I took of it. Enjoy OwO

Two triangles can make a square

Hiya blogger's! On Tuesday, at math time, our teacher told us to do a tessellating pattern. A tessellating pattern is a pattern that just repeats and repeats and repeats. My pattern has two shapes. Triangles and diamonds. I put the triangles together to make it look like squares. This pattern didn't take too long to do and it was pretty easy to make. I really hope that you learned something and I hope that you like my pattern. Bai

A new book

Hola bloggers. Over there past few weeks, Davos literacy group has been recapping everything that has happened this year and we've been using book creator to write our own version of 2020. When we were writing the book, we had to include some rhyming and we had to write it on a google doc at the start, then copy and paste the words into book creator. I think that I did pretty well with the rhyming and actually finishing it sorta on time. Click here to access the book :)

Something to do with New Zealand, Culture, Tradition, Heritage and Hangi's.....

  Hiya bloggers!

Over these past few days, our teachers have gotten us to do a task that includes Tā moko, Kākahu or Korowai and the Haka. I'm pretty sure that you all know what a Haka is and what it means, but there are a few of us out there who don' know what a Haka is. A Haka is a traditional Maori dance that is performed by woman and men. The haka can be challenging or it can be to celebrate a special occasion. The Haka was once used to prepare warrior on the battle field. Tā moko means tattoo. Maori people would use a special whale bone to carve the tattoo into the victims I mean persons skin. Kākahu or Korowai is a cloak. By cloak, I mean like those giant feather or animal skin cloak that the Maori tribe leaders would wear to look superior or fancy.

Kay bloggers, hope that you learned something when you read this. Bai!!!

Hello bloggers.

This blog post is about Hangi or Hangi's. Did you know that whenever you cook a Hangi, you should put the meat on the bottom and have the vegetables on top and back in the "olden days"  you would have to dig a carefully measured hole and "shove" all of you're FOOD into the hole and cover the hole up with wet sacks at the sides and wait a few hours. A few hours later, the delicious food is READY!!! To be honest, I'm actually really surprised that dirt didn't go into the food. I think that should be almost everything. There is more info on my slide and Bai!!!

(BTW My friend Tayla Bug helped me!!)

Finding Nemo

Hi bloggers! Did you know that Nemo has a fin that's smaller than his other one? Do you know what Nemo calls that fin? Well Nemo calls his smaller fin his Lucky Fin. The reason that I'm talking about Nemo is because this blog post has something to do with Nemo.

Over these past few days, we've been looking at some movies and their trailers and finding the theme. A theme is where you write " The author believes that" and put down the theme. Then you cross out "The author believes that". Here is a example; "The author believes that you should follow the dreams that you had as a child." We looked at the movie Finding Nemo and wrote down some themes that we found.

I really hope that you enjoyed this blog post Bloggers, Bai!!

Here are some Finding Nemo pictures that I really liked!
Hope that you also like them too!

Okay, that's enough.

Borax crystals, sugar crystals and salt crystals!!!

Hiya bloggers!! Over these past few weeks we've been doing a crystal growing experiment. Everyone had to work in a group and I worked in a group with Tayla B, Olivia F, Brittney I, Sophia D. I think we've worked very well together with very little disagreements. We had to choose a crystal to that we wanted to do and I decided to do a sugar crystal with Brittney. Olivia and Tayla B did the salt crystals and Sophia D did the borax by herself. ): Over all, the results are... Borax won. The salt has a ok sized crystal and the sugar literally has NOTHING! NOTHING!!!!!!!! Okay, maybe the sugar has a tiny crystal, but a tiny crystal is better than no crystal. Okay, I'm done. Bai bloggers!!!!!

PS!! This is the slide!!

A "life changing" experiment

Hi Bloggers! At literacy, me and my group did another scientific experiment. This time it was about how fast salt, sugar, cornflour, SR (self rising) flour, sand and citric acid dissolves in warm water. Not about how quickly ice melts. It wasn't exactly a life changing experiment, but it was a really good experiment. Here's something that happened in the experiment. The Citric acid came first and the sand did NOTHING. NOTHING. that's not really surprising because on the beaches, the sand adsorbs the water.. I really hope that you will like the web page. Bye!!!

The big bad wolf? Or the hero of the story

In Yellowstone, the wolves have made a BIG impact on the environment. They were eradicated from Yellowstone once back in the 1900's. Then in 1995 wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone. Then Yellowstone was changed forever. The wolves changed a course of a river, making it more dense and started a trophic cascade. Once the wolves settled in, the deer population began to drop. There were canyons that the deer avoided where they could easily be trapped and those canyons thrived with greenery. More animals came back E.G. Beavers, otters, bears, birds, rabbits, rodents, lizards and more fish "came" back into the lake. Wolves are truly magnificent creatures.

In France, the people there are enraged because of the wolves ever-growing population (especially the farmers) The France Government have hired special people to track, hunt and KILL wolves!

I think that the farmers are scared about losing their livestock E.G. Their sheep and cows. But I also think that hiring people to kill wolves is a bit overboard. I love wolves and the reason that wolves are killing the sheep and cows in France is because they want to eat something that they find appealing.

Which side are YOU on?

The wolves side?

OR

France's side?

I know for sure that I'm on the Wolves side

Until next time bloggers,

Bye!!😃

OOf I almost forgot!

This is the pic I used!

Its a bit blurry but it's still fine!!!!

Please comment if you think that I've missed something or if you have another info about the wolves in Yellowstone and France!!
(BTW Yellowstone is Yellowstone National Park.
I'm calling it Yellowstone because I'm trying to make it sound shorter!)

Something to do with Minecraft Educational :9

Me: "Hello Bloggers. Over this past week we've been using Minecraft Educational edition to help us in literacy."

???: "Hi, what is Minecraft educational edition?"

??? "Is it like Minecraft?"

???: "Rip off Minecraft."

Me: " Okay, so first, can everyone CALM DOWN? and second, Minecraft Educational edition is like Minecra..

???: "Yeah we've figured that out..."

Me: (Ignores ???)  Minecraft Educational edition is like Minecraft. It's name is the only difference I know so far. Okay, now I'm going to tell you all what the task was.

???: Yay!

Last week, our literacy teacher('s) told us that for reading we would be looking at a specific animal that started a trophic cascade and changed the course of a river in Yellowstone National Park. That animal was called a wolf. As several of you have NEVER seen a wolf before, here are bootiful picture's of them.

Wolf Pup

                                                                          Adult wolf

In Yellowstone National Park, in America, wolves were  eradicated from the environment. This had a  detrimental effect on the land as the elk were taking over, eating the shrubs and damaging the environment. The National Park was becoming barren and exposed.

In 1995, wolves were reintroduced into the park where they began a trophic cascade. This is where other species benefit from their presence and the environment flourishes and regenerates .

Because of the wolves in the park, the elk weren’t grazing by the rivers as they could be easily hunted. Some of them were killed for food by the wolves and the elk population slowed With less elk, the trees could regenerate, and in some places their growth quintupled . More trees meant more migratory birds arrived, as well as song birds, and more trees meant more beavers and otters. Bears returned to the area as there were berries and carrion to eat. The carrion that the wolves left behind was attracting rodents and hawks.

The reintroduction of wolves also affected the course of the rivers as the banks became more stable and so they meandered less. Having wolves back in the park had a very positive impact on Yellowstone National Park

Here are my Minecraft pictures

Bye!

Wait! Before I go, Don't forget to comment what I could improve and add!

Ice cube melting satisfaction...

Me: Hi bloggers! I'm back. Sorry if I haven't posted in a while.
Other person: What do you mean a while its only been 8 days!
Me: What, who are you and how did you get here?!
Other person: Mwah ha ha ha!
Me: Get outta here!
Other person: Nope
Me: Anyway, bloggers, before I was so RUDELY interrupted...
Other person: Your WELCOME
Me: Look, if you wanna be here, you've gotta be quiet.
Other person: Sorry...
Me: Ok so bloggers, today, at literacy we did the blue ice cubes melting experiment. If you look through my slide you'll see what we've been working on. Bai!

A short algebra animation

On a Tuesday, me and Britt had to make an animation and... blah blah blah. Hi bloggers! It's me again, just read my explanation of the task before you do anything. So, as you know we had to make a math animation. Now before you start complaining, just think. It could teach you so much more knowledge that you will ever know......
The whole idea of this animation was to make a input and output "machine" and shove a number into the "machine". But there was a rule. Here is an example;
Input: 6
Output: 20
What's the rule?
x 3 +2
See? It's pretty simple. Now, its time for me to make a run for it... Bai!

A something pattern

This thing is the pattern that me and Olivia made together.
It was made originally on a google draw but Olivia "stole" it and "improved" it.

Aurora thing

Kia Ora bloggers!

Since today is the last day of the term, we're doing something fun and what we're doing is making art about The Southern Lights. These are the steps on how to make the Southern Lights:
Step 1
Hold your piece of
landscape paper and rip a mountain- like shape on it. This will be used for the mountains.
Mask this onto the bottom of your black piece of paper.

Step 2
After you've done that, dip your paintbrush into some of the white p
aint, then flick paint from your paintbrush over your black paper. It create's the milky way/random night stars.

Step 3
While the paint is drying, get your ripped paper and color the ripped mountain-shaped paper in with different colored pastels. Make sure you change the color.

Step 3
When the paint is dry, place the mountain-shaped paper onto your black paper. Now run your finger through the pastel upwards towards the stars. This smudge's the colored pastel from the mountain paper onto your picture.

Step 4
Mix a small amount of yellow and white together. Make sure you use more white than yellow, you want it to only have a tint of yellow in it. Using your tooth pick or the end of a paint brush dot in the Matariki constellation.

That is how you make your own Southern Lights Art
BTW Turn your device sideways to
see
the first one.

Adios Bloggers!👏

Something to do with math....

Hey bloggers,
In math, we've been learning on how to use a protractor. We have learned what an Acute, Obtuse, Right, Straight and Reflex angle is. An Acute is less than 90 degrees.
An Obtuse angle is more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. An Right angle is equal to 90 degrees.
A straight angle is 180 degrees and a
Reflex angle is more than 180 degrees, but less than 360. It is always the largest angle.

On Thursday, 4 June we had to measure the first letter of our name. The teacher's ruled some lines on the letter C and I had to measure them. It was a create and share task.

Than on Monday and Tuesday we had to measure a dog made out of angles and we had to color coordinate each angle depending on what they were( Acute, Obtuse, Right, Straight and Reflex )
Than on Tuesday 9 June, we just had a work sheet with some angles that we had to measure.

On Thursday I wasn't here but I was told that the others had to draw their name out of angles and measure them.
On Monday again we had to measure some angles that the Miss Osborn gave us.

This week on Tuesday we  went over the work sheet from Monday and if there was a red circle with a question mark it meant that we got it wrong.

Then if we had fixed them or had non wrong, we could work on a wonky house made out of random angles we had to estimate the angles first and then measure them afterwards. ( We also had to color code them ) When we've done everything, we could do our Bricks.

And on Thursday we had to make a robot out of shapes and then after we made it, we would share it to Miss Osborn and then she would print it out and then we would have to measure 8 of the angles. This was also a create task.

 This is the wonky house.

And this is the C I had to measure

This is one of the work sheets

 And these are the angles.

This is the bricks front slide.

Adios my friends!

Its time to fracture Fairy tales.

For literacy, we're fracturing fairy tales. The fairy tale I'm fracturing is called Cinderella. I'm sure you've never heard about it. (I'm joking, I'm joking) Since I'm fracturing it, its going to have a new name; Cindy. I'm also going to change a few parts. Instead of dropping a shoe, she's going to drop a phone instead and wouldn't the glass slipper break when it hit's the ground, cause it's glass (Wait, wouldn't the phone break as well? Oops, I guess its time to get a new phone Cindy!)  Fairy God Mother? Nah that's getting old, Fairy God Siri is way better, its sorta modern but better than a fat, flying, old, Grandma! I also decided to turn the ball into a disco. And the prince gets dumped because Cindy doesn't have any time for a husband.

(This is Cindy BTW and she's wearing a nightgown)

Global Issues

My friends, there is always a time in life when things go wrong. This time its the globe itself. For Inquiry, this is one of the subjects that we're doing, Global issues. On Tuesday, we had to choose a picture that we wanted to do, so I choose a picture that said "A clean river is a fun river" Since my topic is Pollution, I thought that it had a clear meaning.

What can you see in this picture? I can see a thirsty and hungry orphan trying to get a drop of water. But the pipe is being held by some other person. If you look closer, the guy who is stopping the water is wearing a suit. The kid is wearing nothing. You can tell that the kid is poor, while the man is probably rolling in dough/money.

The pointed angles...

Kia ora blogger friends,

For numeracy today, we have started to learn about angles.

We learnt about 3 different angles today - acute (less than 90°), right angle (90°), and obtuse (larger than 90° but smaller than 180°).  We also learnt how to use a protractor to measure angles.  We know that we need to measure an angle from a vertice (a corner where two straight lines meet).

For our create task, we had to measure three different angles on the first letter of our name - can you  figure out if they are acute, right angle or obtuse?

Hello my good people, I have FINALLY after several years (WEEKS ACTUALLY)
decided to post some of the math work for today (4/05/2020). Please ignore these animals,

My apologies to: The Toroa teachers of 2020...

Hi my friends on the internet (and the teachers!).
Today I am here to say that I am sorry that I didn't post any earlier.
I didn't realize that you had to post 3 times a day!
So I refuse to go to sleep until I post 3 things.

The activity that I am currently doing is, the one that says:
If you play an instrument - learn a new song.

I did learn a new song when I saw this activity and since I play the piano, I decided to learn half of the song Happy Birthday ( I cant find the other half of the song since the page ripped) T-T I also can't record it and send it onto my blog, but I'm (SLOWLY) trying! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
To all of the viewers, if you know how to record a musical song then post it onto your blog, please tell COMMENT it to me!  Sayōnara.

Do you wanna learn how to count? IN SAMOAN

(  https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/375354039 )  OK. So this is really simple so, just write a random number from 1-10. Then this fox will translate it to Samoan! That is all the fox can do for now. Don't try and write the number 120304764725489383671019476574380194865471156381128375672810911919188282873746464737288676176783617627384167283461734 or don't write numbers over ten or it won't work.
Bai friends!!

My AMAZING render forest video! FRIENDS YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!!!!!!!

My dear friends, so yesterday, we had to do a Render forest and today I posted it. Its a video about Bruno and Shmuel's relationship! I really hope you like it, cause it took be an entire lesson to make.

My amazing family tree

So my friends who are on the internet, as to the to fact that today is Monday, it was the time to post my family tree onto my blog. It looks a bit dull right now but I will tidy it up later. The reason that my family tree looks to small is that these are the only members that I know of right now and that I also don't know their names. (English or Chinese)

This is just to say...

Hello my dear friends! We have been involved in the get New Zealand writing program and we were writing about one of the naughty things that we have done. Here's on that I have done:
What it says is:
I have killed/eaten
the giant gummy bear
that was inside your room

And which
you were
probably
saving for your
“little” midnight
snack

Forgive me
it was in my way
It was practically
begging me to eat it
And it was so big
and so sugary
looking

Your welcome

and I’m NOT sorry.

"Holy" Portrait

Hello Blogger friend's! As always, the WONDERFUL teachers sorta "made" us do a self portrait! Believe it or not, this year MY portrait was really good. I think that watching anime has helped me improve my drawings (THANKS GACHA LIFE TUBERS) Here is a picture of my portrait.

As you can see, I have made it anime!! I have been really cleaver (EVIL LAUGH) and have made my face mask a bit like the China flag (minus the hearts) I have gone and made myself an anime bear. Now, it is time... to reveal... 🎈🎈🎈why I decided to draw these pictures!🎈🎈🎈 I ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ skittles and candy but skittles are my LIFE. I like to sleep and I also like to party. I love music and animals. Oh and on the other side, I did rainbows because I love every color in the world!🎈

I think that I'm finished explaining everything about my portrait so.... see you next time! (Oh and Happy Valentines Day!!)
